Job Title: Die Maintenance Technician Pay Range: $23.00 – $35.75 per hour Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Die Maintenance Technician to support their production process by assembling products, operating equipment, and performing repetitive die maintenance tasks to meet customer specifications. This role emphasizes welding and hand-finishing skills to ensure the precision and functionality of stamping die tooling. The position also involves troubleshooting, repairs, and maintaining adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Die Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair die tooling. Clean, polish, grind, and perform hand-finishing of die components to ensure optimal performance. Weld components using various welding equipment as required. Assemble and disassemble dies and components to design specifications. Equipment Operation: Operate machinery such as milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and welding tools. Lift dies using hoists or cranes. Measurement and Fabrication: Measure parts using metric scales. Fabricate items or components as needed. Documentation: Record and report maintenance activities. Flexibility: Rotate between workstations and support various production processes as needed. Qualifications: Education/Experience: Associate degree in a related field, Journeyman certification, or 4+ years of equivalent experience/training. Mechanical aptitude test may be required. Skills: Strong welding and hand-finishing capabilities. Ability to read and interpret technical documents (e.g., customer prints, engineering specs). Proficiency with hand tools, machine tools, and wiring components. Physical ability to lift up to 33 lbs and work rotating shifts/overtime. This position is critical for maintaining high production standards and requires strong welding and finishing skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
